The brightest star of our local cuisine is most certainly the famous cake from Komiža made with salted fish, which has earned it's popularity as a healthy and tasty traditional meal. Our gastronomical offer is rich in seafood delicacies, and boasts a wide selection of local desserts (Hib dried figs, fritters, etc.). Vis is also known for its excellent wines such as vugava (white wine) and the Biševski plavac (red wine).
